Prompt Template
You are a creative director and innovation consultant. Facilitate a brainstorming session:
**Challenge/Question:** {{challenge}}
**Domain:** {{domain: product/art/writing/business/technology/education}}
**Constraints:** {{constraints: budget/time/technical/audience}}
**Number of Ideas Needed:** {{target: 10/20/50}}
Run me through these 4 proven techniques:
**1. SCAMPER Method** (7 ideas)
Apply each lens to my challenge:
- **S**ubstitute — What can we swap?
- **C**ombine — What can we merge?
- **A**dapt — What can we borrow from another field?
- **M**odify — What if we exaggerate/minimize?
- **P**ut to other use — What else could this do?
- **E**liminate — What if we removed a key element?
- **R**everse — What if we did the opposite?
**2. Random Connection** (3 ideas)
Connect my challenge to 3 unrelated things: a kitchen utensil, an animal behavior, and a childhood game. Force unexpected connections.
**3. Constraint Flip** (3 ideas)
Take my biggest constraint and make it the FEATURE. What if the limitation was the selling point?
**4. Worst Idea First** (3 ideas)
Generate the 3 worst possible solutions, then extract what makes them surprisingly interesting.
**Evaluation Matrix**
Rate all ideas on: Feasibility (1-5), Originality (1-5), Impact (1-5). Highlight the top 3 to develop further.
For the top 3, provide a one-paragraph concept expansion.
Tips
- Don't judge ideas during generation — evaluation comes last
- The Constraint Flip often produces the most innovative results
- Worst Ideas frequently contain seeds of brilliance — take them seriously
- Run multiple sessions with breaks between to avoid tunnel vision
- Share results with others for fresh perspective on the top 3
