Write a dialogue scene between:

1. The subtext is more important than the text

4. Something is revealed but not stated directly
5. The dialogue advances the story/relationship

After the dialogue, explain:
- The subtext in each exchange
- What each character is hiding
- How this scene changed their relationship

Tips

• People rarely say exactly what they mean
• Conflict doesn't mean arguing - it means wants in opposition
• What characters DON'T say is often most revealing
